New Nissan Maxima SR 2024 Model, Colors, Redesign

New Nissan Maxima SR 2024 Model, Colors, Redesign – The 2024 Nissan Maxima is a four-door sedan comparable to the Altima but is more expensive and comes standard with a V-6 engine.

Its sporty and attractive appearance distinguishes it from the Acura TLX, Nissan Altima, Toyota Camry, and Honda Accord. It has enough power, better crash protection, and a unique look that makes it better than the average car.

As part of a new 40th Anniversary edition, the most expensive model now features red leather upholstery and gloss-black trim. Meanwhile, the base costs of the S and SL Maximas have been increased. The Maxima converts the Altima’s business-casual look into a racing ensemble. It’s slim yet commanding, with exaggerated details ranging from the deep V-neck grille to the enormous haunches. It is a cornerstone of Nissan’s “floating-canopy” design philosophy. It is a stunning vehicle with a cockpit wraps around the driver and is controlled using tactile rather than touchscreen controls.

The 2024 Nissan Maxima has a 3.5-liter V-6 engine that generates 300 horsepower and sends power to the front wheels via a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). While Maxima’s engine is unquestionably quick, it drones and lacks responsiveness, which is accentuated by paddle shifters that cycle through preset gear ratios. It’s a good car since it rides comfortably and handles well, even more so in the SR version, which features 19-inch wheels and paddle shifters.

Interior

The interior of the 2024 Nissan Maxima is nearly identical to that of the four-door Altima. It’s not surprising that they have a connection to architecture. While the Maxima’s version of that running gear has adequate front seats, passengers and luggage are crammed into an absurdly small rear seat and trunk. We give it a six here. The front seats are quite supportive, and with the demise of the old entry-level model, all Maximas now come standard with leather upholstery. The chairs are supportive and comfortable, which makes them excellent for lengthy journeys. For additional body traction, the SR models include a synthetic suede trim.

Leg space is limited to 34.2 inches in row two. Two adults will fit comfortably, not three, and the Maxima’s sloping roofline decreases headroom in the rear seats. The trunk of the Maxima measures 14.3 cubic feet, which is substantially smaller than the trunks of many mid-size sedans—in fact, it is comparable to the trunk of the Sentra. It more than makes up for lost ground in terms of craftsmanship and quality; the Maxima’s interior feels substantial. It’s opulent enough to justify a starting price of approximately $40,000.

Engine

The V-6 engine distinguishes the Maxima from its less expensive siblings. The 3.5-liter V-6 engine generates 300 horsepower and torque of 261 lb-feet. However, because it is linked to a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT), the engine’s exhilarating qualities are lost. What works well in a Z coupe is obscured by the CVT’s responses, which are reminiscent of those of a cogged-gear automatic transmission. When the vehicle lumbers and drones through its rev range, it seems more like an economy car than a sports sedan—but it is still quick enough to go from zero to sixty mph in less than seven seconds.

While the Maxima SR features paddle shifters with eight preset ratios, mediocrity has already been established. While the V-6 puts it above the Altima, does it become more sporty as a result? Indeed, the Maxima’s most distinguishing characteristic is its supremely pleasant ride. While the Maxima is hardly a sports sedan, its agile handling complements the vehicle’s luxurious ride. Even with the SR’s suspension and brakes strengthened slightly, for well over $40,000, there are a plethora of sport sedans that are smaller but considerably more fun to drive.

2024 Nissan Maxima Release Date and Price

While the $37,915 Maxima SV has the lowest starting price, it still has 18-inch alloy wheels, an 8.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, leather interior, and navigation. We also like the Maxima SR, which costs $43,075 and has 19-inch wheels and a better suspension.
